Kankakee County Shooting: Five Victims, Two Dead at Banquet Hall

Pembroke Township, IL – Authorities responded to reports of gunfire late Friday night, resulting in two fatalities and multiple injuries at a local banquet hall.

According to the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office, officers arrived at approximately 11:51 p.m. on Friday after receiving calls about shots fired at 13100 E Central St. Upon arrival, deputies reportedly found large crowds fleeing from two parties at the hall. Five victims were discovered with gunshot wounds, two of whom were pronounced dead—one at the scene and another at a nearby hospital. Authorities have withheld the identities of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.
