Kankakee, IL – In an impactful demonstration of community support, George Ryan, Jr. Insurance Group has generously donated $10,000 to Duane Dean Behavioral Health Center, a cornerstone in the fight against substance use and addiction in Kankakee, Illinois. The donation, facilitated through the Make More Happenâ„¢ Awards by Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance®, aims to enhance the nonprofit’s comprehensive approach to substance abuse treatment and education.

Initially receiving $5,000, the insurance group’s partnership with Duane Dean Behavioral Health Center was spotlighted on the awards’ microsite, which paved the way for a local awareness campaign. This campaign successfully rallied community support, doubling the donation to $10,000. These funds are earmarked for educational workshops on substance abuse treatment, including vital Narcan dose education and training for administering this life-saving intervention.

The Make More Happen Awards program, targeting up to 37 independent agents for contributions of up to $370,000 in 2024, recognizes agencies that show an unwavering commitment to supporting nonprofits. George Ryan, Jr. Insurance Group’s contribution not only exemplifies their dedication to community welfare but also highlights the significance of collaborative efforts in enhancing local health and wellness services.
