Kankakee, IL – Man Succumbs to Gunshot Wound a Week After Shooting

Kankakee, IL – A week following a tragic shooting in Kankakee, 35-year-old Michael Hines has succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head. The incident occurred early morning in a residence on the 700 block of South Osborne. According to Kankakee Police, the shooting happened around 4:30 AM last Sunday.

Hines was rushed to a local hospital but unfortunately passed away due to his injuries. In the wake of this incident, Kankakee Police have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect believed to be responsible for what is now being investigated as a homicide.

The police continue their search for the suspect, urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation. The community mourns the loss of Hines, as local authorities work diligently to bring justice in this case.
