Kankakee, IL – A routine police call in Kankakee took an unexpected twist when officers discovered a man covered in an unidentifiable white powder in the back of a squad car.

Responding to a trespassing report on Monday afternoon, Kankakee City Police arrived at a home on the 700 block of North Kennedy Drive with intentions to remove two individuals found inside without permission. The situation quickly escalated when, despite possessing a key from the landlord, the officers were met with resistance from the inside, leading them to forcefully gain entry.

The individuals, identified as 45-year-olds Brandon Taylor and Rebecca Rizzo of Kankakee, were arrested under trespassing charges. However, the drama didn’t end there.

En route to the county jail, officers noticed Taylor fidgeting and subsequently discovered him covered in a mysterious white powder. Despite Taylor’s denial of any knowledge regarding the substance, he faces multiple charges, including possession, obstruction of justice, and destroying evidence.
