Kankakee Man busted after allegedly breaking into Bedroom, stealing Man’s Weed

KANKAKEE – A man is in custody after he allegedly broke into a Kankakee home and stole another man’s weed.

According to Kankakee City Police, it happened Monday night in the 200 block of North New Street.  Police say it was around 5:30 p.m. when two men broke into a man’s bedroom and stole his weed and wallet.  The victim reported once the men left, he went to close the door behind them and was shot at through the bedroom door.

Kankakee Police investigating the incident later arrested 33-year-old Enoch D Harris on Home Invasion charges.  Harris was also charged with driving on a suspended license and parole violations.  

Harris is being held on $202k bond at the Jerome Combs Detention Center in Kankakee.
