Lee County, IL – Hospitalizations Follow Crash at Route 30, Route 52 Intersection

Lee County, IL – Two drivers were hospitalized on Friday after a collision at the intersection of US Route 30 and US Route 52 in rural Amboy, Illinois. 

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at around 3:24 PM when a 2015 Chrysler 200, driven by 48-year-old Cynthia M. James of Decatur, failed to adhere to a stop at the junction, colliding with a 2010 Hyundai Elantra operated by 43-year-old Brett A. Armstrong of Amboy. 

Emergency responders from the Amboy Fire Department and Advance EMS attended to the scene, and both drivers were admitted to KSB Hospital with injuries reported as non-life-threatening. James has been cited for failing to yield the right-of-way.
