GURNEE, Ill. – Two shocking incidents at Six Flags during the first week of July resulted in the arrest of four individuals, including three teens.

According to Gurnee Police, it began July 3rd when an allegedly intoxicated 32-year-old Milwaukee man, Tristan Mahamed, allegedly slapped a 69-year-old visitor at the theme park, leaving him trembling. The assault took place inside a store near a park ride and was captured on video surveillance at the time.  Mahamed has since being charged for aggravated battery of a victim over 60 and is being held on $100,000 bond.

A few nights later, in a separate incident on July 8, chaos erupted on a roller coaster ride platform when a ride operator accidentally bumped into a passenger. Enraged, the passenger and their companions violently charged at the operator, assaulting him and throwing objects. A 19-year-old worker sustained minor injuries and received immediate medical attention.

Adrian Ortiz, an 18-year-old from Chicago, was taken into custody and charged battery causing bodily harm. Two juveniles, 14 and 17, were also arrested and referred to the juvenile court system on similar charges.

Authorities are actively investigating both incidents to ensure the safety of visitors to the park.
