BENSENVILLE, Ill. – A fun day at William A. Redmond Park turned into a heartbreaking incident when a man slipped into the Redmond Reservoir, a retention pool not designated for swimming, situated across the street from The Edge Ice Arena.

The unfortunate event occurred on John Street, and emergency services were called to the scene just after 3 p.m. Bensenville’s prompt police and fire officials, along with a skilled dive team, worked diligently to locate and retrieve the man’s body.
