Sex Offender Arrested in LaSalle County Compliance Checks

LaSalle County, IL – The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office conducted sex offender and violent offender compliance checks on March 23, 2023, resulting in one arrest and two warrants being issued.

According to Sheriff Adam Diss, 78 compliance checks were conducted throughout the county, with three offenders found to be out of compliance. Randy D. Barile, 59, of Marseilles was arrested for failure to register a new address as a sex offender and was taken to the LaSalle County Jail, where he will be held until his bond hearing tomorrow morning.

The United States Marshals Service worked alongside the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office investigators to ensure all sex offenders were complying with the law, which requires them to register their addresses.

The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating multiple registration compliance checks to ensure that all sex offenders are in compliance with the law.

This operation is part of the ongoing efforts to keep the community safe from sex offenders and violent offenders. The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office urges all sex offenders to comply with the law and register their addresses.
