Two Illinois Teens Killed in State Route 49 Crash

Rankin, IL – In a tragic two-vehicle crash on State Route 49 at 3550 North Rd., two teens lost their lives early Tuesday. 

Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden identified the victims Wednesday as Joseph D. Stallone, 19, of Paxton, and Keegynn L. Martinek, 17, of Paxton. 

The other driver’s identity remains unknown, pending notification of their next of kin. 

Autopsies are scheduled for this week. The Illinois State Police and Vermilion County Coroner’s office are investigating the incident.
