CHANNAHON, IL – The Channahon Police Department has launched a full-scale manhunt for Michael L Davis, the husband suspected of brutally assaulting his pregnant wife at a truck stop in Illinois.
According to Channahon Police, the incident occurred Wednesday afternoon at the Love’s Travel Center located on 23801 W Bluff Rd. Eyewitnesses on scene reported being horrified as Davis unleashed a violent attack on his wife inside the establishment, prompting a courageous bystander to intervene. Davis fled the scene in a vehicle, leaving his injured wife behind. Police report cameras captured the shocking assault, revealing the severity of the injuries she sustained, necessitating her immediate hospitalization.
Following the incident, an urgent message was broadcasted to local law enforcement agencies, leading the Joliet Police Department to intercept Davis while driving. However, he managed to escape on foot and has since evaded arrest. According to Police, Davis is known to frequent various locations in Joliet, heightening concerns for public safety.
The Channahon Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Davis, charging him with 15 counts of both domestic battery and aggravated domestic battery. Citizens are urged to exercise extreme caution, as Davis is considered armed and dangerous.
