Miami Resident Dies in I-80 car crash early Monday in Illinois

WILL COUNTY, IL – The Will County Coroner’s Office reported on Saturday the death of 50-year-old Mirlaine Leclerc, a resident of Miami, Florida. Leclerc was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a collision on Interstate-80 Westbound, Minooka Township, Illinois on Monday.

Leclerc was transported to Ascension Saint Joseph Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. The Illinois State Police are currently investigating the incident.

The final cause and manner of death will be determined following the completion of an autopsy, as well as examination of police and toxicological reports. The Will County Coroner’s Office has not released any further information at this time.
