ROCKVILLE, Ind. – An over month-long mystery that has captivated the Indiana community of Mecca may be on the verge of resolution. The search for the missing woman, Betty “Jane” Capps, took a chilling turn Sunday.

While showing a property in the rural Rockville area, a local realtor and potential buyers stumbled upon Capps’ gray 2007 Ford Focus. Alarmingly, it was located about 200 yards off the main roadway, concealed down an embankment. Nearby, human remains were unearthed, drawing immediate attention from authorities.

Parks County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police Crime Scene investigators, and the Parke County Coroner’s Office swiftly converged on the scene. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends,” expressed a somber Sheriff Jason Frazier.

As the investigation continues, the community clings to hope for answers and closure.
