Multiple Semi-Automatic Handguns Stolen from Oak Park SUV

OAK PARK, IL – Multiple semi-automatic handguns were reported stolen from the backseat of an SUV parked in the 500 block of Lyman Thursday morning.

According to Oak Park Police the incident occurred on August 10th, sometime between the hours of 4:44 a.m. and 8:01 a.m. when an unidentified male suspect gained unauthorized access to a 2016 Nissan Pathfinder via the unlocked rear driver’s side door. The victim, an Oak Park resident, reported discovering the loss of three firearms with an estimated total worth of $1,850.

Police have entered the stolen firearms into the Law Enforcement Automated Data System (LEADS) in hopes of recovering the weapons and identifying the suspect.
