Mystery Grenade Discovered by Construction Crew in Glendale Heights

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill. – A construction crew, working diligently on the 100 block of West Stevenson, stumbled upon a startling discovery around 5pm Thursday – a hand grenade. 

Exercising utmost caution, they immediately alerted the authorities. Glendale Heights Police Department swiftly arrived on the scene, cordoning off the area for safety. The Dupage County Bomb Squad’s evaluation revealed the grenade was inactive, ensuring there was no danger to the community.
