Woosung, IL – In a striking law enforcement operation, the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office announced the seizure of approximately 46 pounds of cannabis, valued at an estimated $200,000, following a search warrant execution in Woosung, Illinois, on April 10th, 2024. The operation, spearheaded by the Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit, targeted a residence in the 700 block of South Central Street, culminating in the arrest of Joshua T. Anderson, a 38-year-old local man.
Anderson faces several allegations including Unlawful Possession of Over 5000 Grams of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver, a Class X Felony; Unlawful Possession of Over 5000 Grams of Cannabis, a Class 1 Felony; Unlawful Possession/Production of Cannabis Sativa Plant, over 20 plants, a Class 3 Felony; and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class 4 Felony, as stated by the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office.
Following his arrest, Anderson was transported to the Ogle County Jail, awaiting a court appearance for a determination on continued detention.
