Severe Motorcycle Crash Shuts Down Key Woodstock Street

WOODSTOCK – Dean Street  was brought to a standstill Saturday night after a severe motorcycle crash around 9 p.m. 

According to sources on the scene the incident occurred in the 4700 block of Dean Street, prompted the closure between Route 176 and Lucas Rd. 

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District raced to the scene following a 911 call indicating the victim was unresponsive. As the gravity of the injuries became clear, officials summoned a medical helicopter to rendezvous with an ambulance at Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital. 

Residents and travelers are advised to steer clear of the area until an all-clear is announced.
