Stillman Valley, IL – Local Man Arrested for Fentanyl, Firearms Possession in Ogle County

Stillman Valley, IL – In a targeted operation against drug trafficking, the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit executed a search warrant in rural Stillman Valley, resulting in the arrest of a young man on several serious charges. The operation, conducted on March 21, 2024, at a residence on the 7000 block of N. Crestview Road, concluded a detailed investigation spanning several months.

Seth J. Rudecki, 22, of Stillman Valley, faces multiple charges, including possession and intent to deliver a significant amount of Fentanyl, classified as Class 1 and Class X felonies, respectively. Rudecki is also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition without a Firearm Owner’s Identification (FOID) card, alongside various cannabis-related offenses, including possession, intent to deliver, and unlawful production of cannabis sativa plants. 

Following his arrest, Rudecki was detained at the Ogle County Jail until his court appearance on March 22, 2024. Despite a request from the Ogle County State’s Attorney’s Office for Rudecki to remain detained, he was released and given a future court date.
