BOURBONNAIS – Do you have your head up to the sky at night? Can you identify planes from drones and normal air traffic? If you’ve checked those boxes, you may know a little something about looking for something out of the ordinary in our skies.

Sunday night, around 5:20 pm, this unknown object was spotted by a local reader and submitted to our newsroom. The reader, who spotted the object over Bourbonnais Parkway, reported seeing a pulsing light changing shape, remaining stationary for just under five minutes before disappearing into the darkness above.

  1. I live out by the state park and have seen this twice now. It’s weird. It moves very strange has lights that change color then will move super fast making no noise. Almost looks like a fighter jet if it flys over you
