Update: ‘Minor Leak’ at Van Drunen Farms in Momence Results in No Injuries

MOMENCE, Ill. — Officials have described Tuesday’s ammonia incident at Van Drunen Farms as a ‘minor leak.’

While multiple ambulances were dispatched to the scene just after 1 p.m. out of precaution, no injuries were reported. The situation was reportedly quickly managed as the leak was isolated and repaired, and firefighters subsequently ventilated the building to ensure safety. 

The area is now deemed safe, but updates will follow as more information becomes available.
