Violent Robbery in Kankakee County Leaves Victim Shot, Gun Stolen

KANKAKEE, IL – A robbery in Pembroke on Wednesday left a victim with a gunshot wound and his firearm stolen. 

According to Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police the incident took place at an area gas station prompting swift response from law enforcement.

Upon arrival, officers found a 24-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim reported that the robbery unfolded during a violent altercation, during which the perpetrators took off with his firearm from a bag he was carrying.

Law enforcement is urging anyone with information to step forward. Witnesses can provide tips anonymously to CrimeStoppers at (815) 93-CRIME, and there may be a cash reward for valuable information.
