Will County, IL – Two men were shot in Unincorporated Lockport Township Thursday night with one succumbing to his injuries.
According to the Will County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred shortly after 7:00 PM in the 200 Block of Riverview Avenue. Deputies found a 55-year-old male critically injured near the front door and a 52-year-old male who later died at the hospital.
The assailant, who remains unknown, fired several shots at the victims as they returned from a grocery store. This targeted attack prompted an immediate investigation by detectives and Crime Scene Investigators.
The Sheriff’s Office is urgently seeking information from the public regarding the assailant’s identity.
