Homewood, IL – A fatal collision at the intersection of 183rd Street & Kedzie Avenue claimed a life early Wednesday.
According to police reports, it began 8:45 AM, emergency services from the Homewood Police Department and Homewood Fire Department rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a serious multi-car crash involving a grey Ford, a black Volkswagen, and an orange Nissan.
One of the drivers involved in the crash, a yet-to-be-identified woman, was treated and transported to South Suburban Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
A second driver and a passenger from one of the vehicles suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for medical attention. The third driver emerged from the crash unscathed and was taken into custody pending an investigation.
