In November 2018, Sarah Doris, Brittany LaFond and six other Kankakee Community College students found cardboard and blankets, and tested themselves against the elements for a night.
Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the international academic honor society for community college students, saw 57 local area students inducted during the spring 2019 semester. Students inducted must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
The Lifelong Learning Institute offers affordable, high-quality, non-credit classes that take place in an environment that fosters participation. These video lectures are pre-recorded and played during the class session. These classes are open to people ages 50 and older.
