Nashville, TN – In the quiet streets of East Nashville, a grim mystery has lingered for over two decades. Ricky Rydell Young, a 36-year-old Nashville resident, met a tragic fate while walking his dog on the evening of May 14, 1998.

Young was discovered suffering from a fatal gunshot wound in a driveway in the area of Greenwood Avenue. Despite extensive investigations, no witnesses have ever been identified, and the motives behind his murder remain shrouded in secrecy. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department continues to investigate this cold case, believing that even after all these years, crucial information could still surface.

The police urge anyone with information, no matter how small, to contact the Cold Case Unit at 615-862-7329 or to anonymously reach out to Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. A reward of up to $5,000 is available for information leading to the resolution of this case, and authorities are hopeful that renewed interest can lead to a breakthrough.
