Nashville, TN – A concerning pattern repeats as Jamien Taylor, 26, faces alleged charges of attempted kidnapping and assault after reportedly chasing a teenage girl following her school bus journey this Thursday morning.Â
According to Nashville police reports the incident comes just days after Taylor was released on a $3,000 bond for similar charges involving false imprisonment and assault. The 15-year-old victim, a student at Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet School, narrowly escaped by running to safety and alerting school authorities, who quickly contacted the School Rapid Response Team.
Taylor was apprehended on a WeGo bus without incident and is now held on a $75,000 bond pending a source hearing. This event has prompted Police Chief John Drake to call for a stringent reassessment of bond policies to enhance community safety and address the recurring issue of offenses by the same individuals.
