
Richmond, VA – Virginia State Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a motorcycle operator who allegedly fled from a trooper during a Friday evening pursuit that began in Henrico County and ended in the City of Richmond.
According to Virginia State Police, the incident began around 6:08 p.m. on April 17, 2026, Friday, when a trooper attempted a traffic stop on a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Interstate 64 near the 183-mile marker in Henrico County. Authorities say the operator failed to stop, prompting a pursuit.
The rider allegedly exited I-64 at Glenside Drive, continued onto West Broad Street, and entered Richmond’s Museum District. The pursuit was later terminated after the trooper lost sight of the motorcycle.
Police describe the operator as a white male, approximately 40 to 50 years old, with brown to black hair extending to the upper back and a thin build. The motorcycle is described as black and displaying a black license plate mounted vertically on the left rear bearing the characters “8435M.”
Dash camera images captured during the incident have been released to assist in identifying the individual. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
