Felton, DE – A Pennsylvania man is facing multiple felony charges following a reported road rage incident involving a firearm Monday morning in Kent County.

According to Delaware State Police, the incident began around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday when Kent County 9-1-1 received reports of a road rage confrontation on South Dupont Highway near Killens Pond Road. The suspect vehicle was described as a Dodge Ram pickup truck, prompting troopers to search the area.

Police said a responding trooper later located a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as 38-year-old Jeffrey Neifert of New Ringgold, Pennsylvania.

According to investigators, Neifert allegedly displayed a handgun while traveling on South Dupont Highway near Irish Hill Road during a confrontation with another driver. During the stop, troopers recovered a loaded handgun and a switchblade from inside the vehicle.

Neifert was taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop 3. Authorities said he was charged with multiple offenses, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and aggravated menacing.

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $78,000 cash bond.
