Macon, GA – A Bibb County man is facing multiple charges after deputies executed a narcotics search warrant on Carlisle Avenue today, leading to the seizure of drugs and a firearm.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigation Division Drug Unit and Gang Unit investigators, with assistance from the SWAT team, carried out the operation at a residence on Carlisle Avenue. Authorities said a male suspect was arrested at the scene on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Investigators reported that during the search, deputies recovered marijuana, digital scales, packaging materials commonly associated with distribution, and a handgun. The presence of both narcotics and a firearm elevated the severity of the charges, officials said.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center following the arrest. His identity has not been released publicly, and formal charges are pending further processing.
