On April 10, 2019 at Northfield Square Mall the Community Arts Council of Kankakee County hosted the second annual Kankakee Cosplay Chaos. Locals and visitors dressed up as their favorite comic, fantasy, and anime characters. Vendors and artists were also on hand with a wide range of items inspired by everything from Harry Potter to Super Mario Bros. and more. At 2 p.m. KC2 cosplay competition spotlighted the best local cosplays, with youth and adult competitions, featuring characters such as Dr. Strange, Captain America, Deadpool, and Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz. A performance of hit songs in Klingon followed to the delight of the crowd.
