CHICAGO – Sunday was the last opportunity visitors at Lincoln Park Zoo had to see animals before temporarily closing for two months due to the pandemic.

Under City and state guidelines, buildings are required to remain closed to the public during COVID restrictions. Lincoln Park Zoo says it’s not safe to keep everyone outdoors during the winter while most animals go inside their exhibits and away from the public eye to stay warm this time of year.

The Zoo plans to reopen in two months again on March 4th.  Until then it plans to offer virtual events to the public.  You can keep up to date with those on their website and Facebook page.
