Concord, CA – Scott Kitfield, a 33-year-old YouTuber from Concord, was sentenced to 60 days in jail and given strict probation terms, including driving restrictions and mandatory vehicle tracking. This decision follows a meticulous operation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), which used an aircraft to track Kitfield’s high-speed journey from Solano County to Concord in July 2023.
According to the CHP, Kitfield was observed speeding over 110 mph and racing another car at speeds exceeding 120 mph along Interstate 680. Despite attempts to stop him, Kitfield led officers on a chase before surrendering. His actions not only led to his arrest but also to multiple charges, including fleeing from police and engaging in a speed contest, along with other instances of reckless driving and driving without a license.
Kitfield’s sentencing on April 3, 2024, by the District Attorney’s Office’s Special Operations Division, also includes a condition to install a tracking device on his vehicle. The court underscored the potential consequences of his actions, indicating that any future incidents could lead to more severe charges, including murder if his reckless driving results in a fatality.
