KANKAKEE – An attempted suicide was prevented Thursday morning at Jerome Combs Detention Center.
Quick acting guards have been credited by officials for saving the inmate’s life. The inmate was taken to the hospital.
No further details have been released on the inmate’s identity, current condition, or how the inmate intended on taking his life in captivity.
