GOODLAND – Local authorities are looking for information as to what lead to a massive loss of structures and equipment last Saturday in Jasper County. It comes after investigators with the Indiana State Fire Marshal determined the fire at a barn had been reportedly intentionally set.
According to Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, the Remington Volunteer Fire Department responded to the large barn fire at 14341 S. County Road in Goodland last Saturday evening. Damage from the fire resulted in the total loss of both the structure and all vehicles surrounding the barn.
A reward of up to $5,000 is offered that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the blaze. Anyone with information is asked to call the Indiana Arson Hotline at 1-800-382-4628 and are not required to provide their name.
