COVID-19: 12 Dead in Kankakee since pandemic began

Kankakee Health officials announced 8 new cases of COVID-19 among residents of Kankakee County today, bringing area totals to 228 confirmed COVID-19 cases.  42 cases have now recovered.

Among today’s new cases included a man in his 20s and a female in her 80s. 

State of Illinois officials announced 1,222 new cases of COVID-19 today with an additional 74 deaths.  Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, Illinois has totaled of 23,247 cases, including 868 deaths, in 88 counties in Illinois.

Among those deaths included 13 residents of Will County and 1 resident of Kankakee County. Kankakee County now has a total of 12 dead since the pandemic began.
