Four arrested in suspected catalytic converter theft at Terry’s RV in Frankfort

FRANKFORT – Four men have been arrested after reportedly fleeing the scene of a suspected catalytic converter theft in Frankfort.

According to reports, it happened just before 6 pm Thursday when Frankfort Police responding to a burglary call occurring at Terry’s RV.

“Further investigation revealed that the suspects stole several catalytic converters off vehicles in the parked lot.” Frankfort Police said in a release Friday afternoon. “All proceeds were recovered on the scene.”

The suspects were identified as 24-year-old Dustin Behrends of Cabery, IL, 25-year-old Christian Miller-Grobe of Kankakee, 21-year-old Shawn Morgan, and 22-year-old Johnathon Schill, both of Watseka.

The group was charged with burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools, and criminal damage to the property.

A bond hearing for the men was set for 1:30 pm this afternoon.
