Indiana I-65 Tragedy: Passengers Ejected in Rollover on Sunday, Helicopters respond

JASPER COUNTY – A spine-chilling incident unfolded on I-65 early Sunday when a Pontiac G6 made a sudden turn, crashing into a cable barrier and overturning. 

According to Jasper County Sheriff’s reports, the sheer force ejected both passengers from the vehicle, leaving witnesses in disbelief. Jasper County’s emergency personnel, including Sheriff’s Deputies, EMS, and Rensselaer Fire, were quick on the scene. 

The dire nature of the injuries led to an urgent call for two medical helicopters. The driver, identified as Julie L. Nuss, 50, from Lake Village, Indiana, and the other occupant were airlifted for immediate medical attention. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
