Kankakee Bridge deemed structurally sound, expected to open tomorrow

The Canadian National Railway who owns the railroad bridge in Kankakee where roads have been closed this week on River Street will be completing maintenance work to address the issue of falling concrete.

Canadian National inspected the bridge and told the City of Kankakee it will take four to six weeks to complete. The bridge is structurally sound. The City expect the roads to be open again by sometime tomorrow.
