Kankakee County Health Department officials released new numbers of COVID-19 cases this afternoon, which climbed to 59 total cases. With “Case 58, Male in his 80s – deceased” being reported for the first time among the new numbers.
The case had gone unreported until after his death.

As of 04/2/2020 Kankakee County has 59 confirmed cases of COVID-19. There have been no new cases since our last update. Here is the information we can release about our most recent cases:

The unsettling information is a reminder; limited COVID-19 testing sites are available at Midwest Express Clinic in Bourbonnais and the Federal Testing Site at Wal-Mart in Joliet. Testing is only available at each site for high-risk patients, First Responders and Healthcare Workers, by appointment only.
