Kankakee, IL – Resident Confronts Intruders in Home Invasion Over Video Game System

Kankakee, IL – A Kankakee resident faced off against two masked intruders during a home invasion early Sunday morning. 

According to the Kankakee City Police, the confrontation took place just before 1 AM in the 200 block of S. Dearborn Ave. The suspects, both dressed in black and wearing masks, entered through a bedroom window and attempted to steal a video game system.

The occupant engaged in a physical struggle with the intruders, who eventually fled the scene with the gaming device through the same window. A neighbor chased after the suspects but was unable to apprehend them. 

Kankakee City Police are continuing their investigation into the incident and are appealing to the public for any relevant information.
