US Route 45/52 will be closed between St. George Road and Burns Road to improve stormwater drainage issues in the area. The drainage project coincides with Riverside Healthcare’s expansion at their Bourbonnais Campus. The property and the surrounding roadways are impacted by flooding caused by excessive stormwater accumulation.
A detour route with directional signage will be set up as follows for motorists:
• From South to North – Left at Burns Road, then right at Career Center Road, then right at St. George Road and then left onto US Route 45/52.
• From North to South – Right at St. George Road, then left at Career Center Road, then left at Burns Road and then right onto US Route 45/52.
The south entrance to Riverside, the entrance closest to Burns Road, will be closed; however, the northern entrance will remain open.
