KENDALL TOWNSHIP – Four people were injured by gunfire at a large gathering early Saturday.

According to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, it happened at 1:36 a.m. Saturday when officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 8400 block of Immanuel Road in unincorporated Kendall Township.

That’s when someone opened fire during what was described as a dispute during the large gathering, injuring at least four people.

One unidentified 21-year-old man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.  Three other women including an 18-year-old victim were treated for non-life threatening injuries.  All three have since been released.

Detectives investigating the incident have identified a suspect in the case as a Hispanic male in his early 20s.  Officers describe the man as thin with a goatee, wearing a white shirt at the time of the incident.

“At this time several investigative leads have been developed and are currently being pursued. Based on the investigation thus far, this is not believed to be a random act.” Kendall County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday afternoon.

Anyone with information should contact investigators at detectives@kendallcountyil.gov or 630-553-5856.
