Murder-suicide leaves recently reconciled couple dead in Kankakee

KANKAKEE – A reported recently reconciled couple is dead after reports of bodies were discovered in a Kankakee home by police early Thursday morning in the 300 block of South Washington Avenue.

According to Kankakee Police, it happened around 3 am yesterday when family members reported a scream from Sulema Munez, 42, from inside the home. When the family went to investigate, they found Jose Andrade, 44, who reportedly told them to call 911 before allegedly stabbing himself to death.

The family reports the couple had recently reconciled.

Police are continuing to investigate.
