CHICAGO – Local health officials have tied over 200 cases of COVID-19 to Lollapalooza.

The concert, which ran four days from July 29th to August 1st, has seen no deaths or hospitalizations connected to it.  Over 385,000 people came to the event, which went mainly maskless with the exception of the final day.

“Clearly with hundreds of thousands of people attending Lollapalooza we would expect to see some cases,” Chicago Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Allison Arwady said earlier today.  Dr. Arwady indicated the incident was not a sign of a super-spreader event.

So far no deaths or hospitalizations have been tied to the festival.
