KANKAKEE – Children ages 5-11 will get their first opportunity to receive a COVID-19 vaccine beginning this Saturday.

That’s when pediatric vaccination clinics will begin locally, including the Walgreens on Kennedy Drive on November 8th.

The Kankakee County Health Department will host a pediatric COVID-19 vaccination event on November 13th at the Kankakee Health Department from 9 am to 1 pm.

Each child is required to have their own appointment due to the limited amount of doses available during the first weeks the pediatric Pfizer vaccine is available.
