Riverside Senior Life Bourbonnais welcomes back 1st inpatient COVID-positive resident

Riverside Senior Life saw their first resident return home on Thursday following his battle with COVID-19.

“(Riverside Senior Life Communities) first resident has officially moved out of the COVID-19 unit and is back at his home!”  Riverside Healthcare announced on Facebook Thursday night.

This is the first known case of a resident recovering and returning to his home following a battle with the pandemic. According to IDPH at last report, there were 12 cases of COVID-19 at Riverside Senior Life and 39 cases at Riverside’s Miller Rehabilitation Center in Kankakee.
