MOROCCO, IN – A 51-year-old man from South Carolina lost his life in a motorcycle crash Saturday near Morocco, Indiana.
According to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, the tragic incident occurred around 2:00 PM when deputies responded to a report of a single motorcycle crash on southbound US 41 near CR 50S.
Preliminary investigations showed the driver was operating a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle heading south on US 41. For reasons yet unknown, the motorcycle veered off the roadway onto the shoulder, causing the rider to be ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, but despite medical intervention, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
