Kankakee County has a fourth case of COVID-19 reported.

This morning, Kankakee County Health Department Administrator John Bevis joined a local radio station, saying “we have several tests still awaiting results to come back from State Labs,” as they did today. A 3rd case was reported around 11 pm, hours after Bevis made that announcement. No further information has been given on either cases age, gender or geographical location.

Due to HIPPA rules, Health Department officials have been reluctant to give out such information, only report County info.

Any individuals who may have been in contact with positive cases will be reached out to by the Health Department. Illinois now has 1,285 cases of COVID-19 reported that have resulted in 12 deaths.

Indiana issued a ‘Stay-at-Home’ order for their state, two days after Illinois’ ‘Stay-at-Home’ went into effect. The order goes into effect on March 25th.
