BOURBONNAIS – Olivet Nazarene University has extended all COVID-19 related restrictions on campus at the University through next Sunday, October 18th.

In a statement to students Saturday, the school praised student’s efforts on campus and said trends are ‘encouraging.’

“While we’ve held steady at around 40 active cases, we are seeing encouraging trends which suggest those numbers will begin to decrease this coming week.” Vice President David Pickering said in a statement Saturday.  “Your efforts are making a difference.”

Restrictions first went into effect on October 5th after the University saw cases spike from zero to 40 in less than two weeks.

As of Saturday, the University reported 39 active cases among students, with 23 isolating on campus and 16 isolating off-campus.
