Commonwealth Edison is warning customers it will take days to restore power throughout Illinois. Massive outages have been reported from Markham to Kankakee.
“Our current estimate is that all customers will be restored by 3PM on Saturday, August 15th.” ComEd said in a tweet.

On Tuesday, nearly 7,500 active power outages were reported across Illinois, affecting over 300,000 households in the Chicago area. In Joliet, over 25,000 residents remained without power Tuesday, nearly half the customer base.
